Harman Barech comments on the latest changes which came in at the start of February

The RICS has released new standards of conduct which came into effect on 2nd February 2022.

These new Rules of Conduct set out the core principles of professional practice for RICS regulated members and firms worldwide. They include clear requirements for firms to encourage diversity and to ensure a fair and inclusive profession, and to support all surveyors regardless of their background or differences, across the world. The new code also sets out expectations for all members in respect of advice on measures such as sustainability, helping clients in the drive to meet sustainability targets.

The updated standards have been comprised from a number of documents into one easy to read code of practice – increasing clarity and better implementation.

Our Vision and Values are aligned with this same approach as collectively we work to become a more Diverse and Sustainable business.

Henry Riley LLP is a RICS regulated firm.
